Thanks to community support, both major political parties have now committed themselves to extending the National School Chaplaincy Funding to the end of 2014. This is further proof that school chaplains have established themselves as an essential element of the school’s welfare network. Although there is still a lot of detail to be discussed with whoever wins the election, we should be grateful for this major step forward.
